Nato a Novara da genitori ghanesi, Joshua Tenkorang ha iniziato a giocare a calcio nella squadra locale di base Santa Rita, prima di passaer alle giovanili di Novara , Pro Vercelli e Arminia Bielefeld . Dopo esperienze con i dilettanti nell'estate del 2018, Tenkorang si è unito al Lanusei, squadra di Serie D ed è rimasto nelle serie minori fino a quando nel giugno 2022, Tenkorang è stato acquistato dalla Cremonese neopromossa in Serie A con un contratto a tempo indeterminato. Da quel momento è stato prestato a diverse squadre sempre fra Serie D e C.
